DULAC, real name Joost van der Meer, was born in Enschede 1976. While growing up he was listening to hiphop music. He was making his own mix-tapes mixed with every kind of music. At one time,it was 1988,he bought a record with the first house tracks on it. He was hooked! At that point, house became a part of his life. His first payed gig was in 1994 at a local club in Enschede. After that, Dulac got contacts in Germany and soon after that he performed a lot all over Germany and Norway at clubs and parties. He loves the crowd there! Also he performed at a lot of parties in Holland, such as Hemelrave, Hemkade, O2 and many clubs at the east side of Holland.
In 2003 he was resident dj at Dj Cafe SOL at Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam. As of 2004 he is THE dj that appears behind the decks weekly in Club Exit and Club Soho in the city centre of Amsterdam. Every Friday and Sunday he shakes up the dance floor when he plays his groovy, funky, tribal house session. He prefers to call his style ''House Music'' as for he loves more genres, as long as they have a good groove, nice swing and musical depth. Dulac loves to let the crowd flow on the beats he plays. As he always says: ''it feels like stepping on a train and you don’t know when it will stop!''
In 2005 he teamed up with dj/producer Jaimy and his label Fatal Music. They signed of first a track called ''Impress me'',wich was played by Danny Tenaglia,Chus and Ceballos, Victor Calderone, Jaimy, Behrouz, to name a few. After this release Dulac was ask to remix several tracks of producers like BAM (New York) dj Tomer(New York) Mario Calegari (New York) Jaimy (labelowner of Fatal-music)Laera (Italy)and more dj's and producers are asking Dulac to make a remix of their projects, with this typical Dulac flavour!
Next month, he will release his ''Gangster Boogie EP'', with 5 tracks, full with tribal and techy influences. In the beginning of 2007, their will be a release from Dulac on Apple Jaxx records, the label of Mr. Peter Presta himself. Now Dulac really is ready to show the party people his typical, driving sound!
