Nick has been John Digweed's studio partner for the whole of Bedrocks recorded output right from early remixes such as Rome's 'The Groover' through the acclaimed tracks 'For What You Dream Of' and 'Set In Stone' to the current remix of Danny Tenaglia's new single 'Turn Me On' and many more besides.
The two met through a mutual friend, sax-player Simeon Jones (incidentally the author of this stunning and extremely stylish website) when John was resident at Heaven the first time around, warming up for Grooverider (how times change!). Nick had been a session keyboard player rendering his services to many and varied household names - buy him a drink and he might tell you who - before suffering a massive bite from the house-music bug in around 1990.
For the next few years he locked himself away in a studio in north London honing his production skills, interrupted only occasionally by John passing a tray of biscuits under the door. Gradually the two of them started to focus on producing a few tracks together and the partnership continues to this day.
As well as his work with John, Nick has produced many tracks under his own steam using various different names, among them the underground hits 'Stoneage' as Floorjam, 'Mandala' as Monumental and 'Rok Star' as Marshall Stax. He continues to produce original tracks and remix other peoples work as well as forcibly wrestling John into the studio for the five minutes a fortnight that he is actually in the country.
Nicks favourite colour is green, he loves animals and he would like to meet a Drew Barrymore lookalike for friendship and aerobics.
